Hello my name is Sarahi Ibarra- Ruiz. This is going to be my 3nd year at South Hi Mount. I graduated from Grand Canyon University. I have a 13-year-old daughter.  I teach bilingual kindergarten; I have taught Pre-K through the Head Start program. Teaching is my passion.  I'm mostly excited about the children.  Making sure that when I teach them, that the children are going to learn, by motivating them and supporting them. The things that I enjoy the most is spending time with my daughter, teaching and reading.

Hello! I'm Brittany Saliano and I have been a teacher for 13 years. All of those years have been in kindergarten, where I belong!

I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2010, earning a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. During my senior year at UTA, I was chosen to be one of nine Kindergarten Early Childhood Assistants, and worked in a classroom while going to school full-time. It was there that I fell in love with kindergarten. My mentor teacher who had taught kindergarten for 33 years showed me just how magical kindergarten can be.

I started my teaching journey in Crowley ISD, where I spent three years. I was nominated for Teacher of the Year during my final year in Crowley. After that I spent eight years at a charter school, where I was team leader for four years. After some contemplation, I realized that I needed to return to public school. I taught for two years in Arlington ISD. After living in Ft. Worth since 2006, I finally decided it was time to come home and teach in FWISD. I am so excited to be a part of educating future Fort Worthians! I love Ft. Worth!

When I'm not teaching or thinking about teaching or planning for teaching, you can find me spending time with my family. I have been married for 17 years to my awesome husband, Matt, and we have a 7-year-old son, Theo. You can also find me cross stitching or embroidery, watching historical dramas and movies, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, drinking Earl Grey tea or Italian coffee, or eating interesting foods. My son and I like to go bike-riding when the weather is nice. I also attend ballet and other dance classes in the evenings when I can.

I am so excited to start this year and get to know the South Hi Mount family! I love being involved and making everyone feel welcome. I just know it's going to be a spectacular school year in kindergarten!
