Hello! I am Marissa Black! I am currently in my eleventh year of teaching in FWISD. I previously taught private clarinet lessons and clarinet masterclasses in Birdville ISD. I received my bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas in 2014. I'm originally from New Mexico, but I've lived in Texas for 25 years. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I have been teaching for 14 years and I have taught PE for the last 8 years. I love teaching PE because I enjoy working with all the different ages of students. I love getting to promote the benefits of physical fitness and leading a healthy lifestyle while also teaching students about teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. My wife is the librarian at SHM and our two kids attend school here. We are an SHM family! I like to watch and play basketball, eat Vietnamese food, and travel with my family. I'm excited to be a part of the South Hi Mount community.

Originalmente soy de New Mexico, pero he vivido en Texas por 24 años. Me gradué de la University of Texas at Arlington con un titulo en español. He ensenado por 12 años y seis de esos años son en educación física. Me encanta ensenar educación física porque me gusta trabajar con niños de todas edades. Mi esposa es la bibliotecaria y nuestros dos hijos son estudiantes en South Hi Mount. ¡Somos familia en SHM! Me gusta mirar y jugar basquetbol, comer comida vietnamita, y viajar con mi familia. Estoy emocionado de ser parte de la comunidad se South Hi Mount.
